Llewellyn Crain

Currently Director of Development of The Old Globe in San Diego, Llewellyn has served as the Director of Development of the Kansas City Symphony, the Executive Director of the Kansas Arts Commission, Director of Community Programs at the L.A. Opera, and Director of Educational Initiatives at the Los Angeles Philharmonic. After completing her BA and MA in Dance from UCLA, she received a master’s degree in Arts Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. A former dance critic, Llewellyn wrote for a number of newspapers and magazines and was on KCRW radio for five years. An expert in nonprofit management, she has served as a consultant on fundraising and financial and nonprofit management for many organizations and has served on a number of grants panels, including twice for the National Endowment for the Arts.
