IMPORTANT ADVOCACY UPDATE
City of San Diego Arts and Culture Budget Hearing May 8, 2018
Our advocacy efforts to stop deep budget cuts for arts and culture at the City have been heard! Thanks to everyone’s united voice, Mayor Kevin Faulconer has proposed an FY19 budget for arts and culture with only a 2% cut to the existing $14.6 million budget, in line with other departments.
The upcoming Arts and Culture Budget Hearing will be an important meeting for us to be present and for Council members to see us.
We have an organized presentation already arranged to hit the high points for our advocacy efforts, but we definitely need you in the room!
We will be completing and submitting “Decline to Speak but in Support” forms for each of you. You do NOT need to fill in anything when you arrive. In order for us to submit the form on your behalf, please answer these questions.
When: Tuesday, May 8, 2018
Time: 9am – 12pm
Where: City Administration Building, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92191, 12th Floor
This will be the only Budget Hearing meeting we need to attend!
Your efforts are truly paying off. Let’s keep focused!
