RALLY FOR ARTS AND CULTURE FUNDING

San Diego has long been a national leader in its commitment to public funding of the arts, however, the Mayor’s recommendation to cut arts and culture by $4.7 million is over a 31% cut to the Commission for Arts and Culture. This is a massive and unfair cut.

We need to encourage Councilmembers to bring equity to the process and continue their support of arts and culture.

HERE’S HOW:
RALLY: Monday, May 8, 2017 – 7:30am to 9:00am
(Prior to City Council Budget Hearing)
Civic Center Plaza, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92101

RSVP via this link. Bring your colleagues, friends, and family.

Schedule:
7:30am – Sign Making
8:15am – Speakers
9:00am – City Council Budget Hearing – Fill the Hall! Make Your Voice Heard!

Invite your colleagues, friends, and family. Let’s fill the Plaza with working artists, arts staff, musicians, students and everyone who will be impacted by deep cuts to the arts.
